MAGVIN Research Institute engages and sensitise communities in the Daffiama Bussie Issa District towards building climate resilience

MAGVIN Research Institute conducted a community engagement and sensitization in the Tuori, Karni, and Worgbere communities of the Daffiama Bussie Issa District, Upper West Region of Ghana. This initiative was part of the GIZ Resilience Against Climate Change (REACH) project. The project is aimed to enhance local awareness and foster proactive measures for building climate resilience.

The session generally equipped community members with essential knowledge about climate change impacts and the importance of community action planning. Thus, participants engaged in lively discussions, sharing experiences, challenges, and aspirations related to climate resilience. Their enthusiasm was truly inspiring hence, underscored a strong commitment to addressing climate challenges collectively.

MAGVIN Research Institute emphasized the importance of local knowledge and community involvement in developing effective strategies to combat climate change. By empowering individuals and fostering collaboration, we aim to instill a sense of ownership over climate resilience initiatives. Participants discussed various adaptive measures, including sustainable agricultural practices, water conservation techniques, and responsible management of natural resources.
