Vincent Buobodaare Dari
Vincent Buobodaare Dari is a Co-Founder and Director of Research and Development (R&D) at MAGVIN Research Institute (MAGVIN-RI). As the director of Research and Development, Vincent is responsible for shaping the institute’s strategic research agenda, overseeing the execution of cutting-edge research initiatives, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence among MAGVIN-RI’s research community.
Vincent is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary approaches, leveraging emerging technologies, and forging strategic partnerships to address some of society’s most pressing challenges. Aside from his work at MAGVIN-RI, Vincent is also a Spatial Planner with the Local Government Service (LGS). Before joining the LGS, Vincent worked as Head of Controllers at Guo Security Service Limited, as a voluntary Research Assistant and as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant with the Department of Planning of the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (formerly University of Development Studies, Wa Campus).
Vincent also worked as a Field Research Officer with several organisations and entities, namely; Emperiks-Ghana, Japan International Corporation (JICA), the African Studies Centre at the University of Michigan, the University for Development Studies and the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection. Vincent holds a Master of Philosophy in Development Management from the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, Master of Science degree in Geospatial and Mapping Sciences from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Science degree in Planning from the University for Development Studies. Vincent also holds certificates in Project Management, Training and Development for Managers from Kaya Humanitarian Academy and a certificate in Understanding Development Impact from Future Learn. Vincent is a natural leader. He served as the President and Vice President of the Upper West Region Students’ Union and Nadowli-Kaleo District Students’ Union respectively, a Judicial Board Chairman of the Ghana Association of Students’ Planners and a speaker and Adjudicator of the Debate Society during his undergraduate studies at the University for Development Studies.
