Dr. Eunice Yorgri

Dr. Eunice Yorgri is a distinguished Lecturer at the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS) in Wa, Ghana, with a specialization in Urban and Rural Planning. She holds a PhD and a Master of Engineering in Urban and Rural Planning from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, where she also earned a Certificate in Chinese Proficiency.

Dr. Yorgri brings a wealth of experience in urban planning, disaster and risk management, and sustainable development, making her a valuable asset to MAGVIN Research Institute. In her capacity as Vice President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) at SDD-UBIDS and Vice Board Chairperson of the African Center for Human Rights and Sustainable Development (AfCHuRSD), she has played a crucial role in advocating for equal rights, gender equity, and sustainable development.

Her career also includes serving as the Gender Desk Officer for the People Dialogue on Human Settlement, where she spearheaded skill development programs aimed at empowering vulnerable communities in deprived urban areas. Dr. Yorgri’s academic and professional background, along with her leadership roles, reflects her dedication to addressing urban challenges, promoting sustainable development, and fostering economic independence for marginalized groups. Her contributions to research, community development, and leadership at both the national and international levels greatly enhance the board’s capacity at MAGVIN Research Institute.
